<p>From 26 – 29 March the DRFN members of The Future Okavango (TFO) project visited the project sites in Tjeye, Mopopama and Mashare in the Kavango Region. The purpose of this visit was to hold meetings with the three Village Development Committees (VDC) and the communities at large. <p>Between the 19th and the 23rd of March the E-CAP team conducted an assessment of the 17 Otji-toilets that were constructed in Grundorn south and the greater Nico area in the Hardap region in the first year of the project. The Otji-toilet is a dry sanitation system developed in Namibia for Namibian conditions. The team held focus group discussions and met with representatives from various households at the two sites. They met with both families that are using the dry sanitation systems, as well as with families that have still not gained access to improved sanitation systems, e.g. using buckets...</p>

<p>Fransiska Nghitila and Faith Simataa attended the Finnish Round Table meeting which was held from 29-30 September 2011 at the NIPAM premises in Olympia, Windhoek.
