<p>The next meeting on the New World Atlas of Desertification and Improvement will take place in Windhoek, Namibia from 29 November to 03 December. DRFN is hosting this event. This is the third meeting of a group of experts from all over the world aimed at developing a new, more dynamic atlas of desertification and related themes.</p>

The aims of the project are to 1) provide support to local communities with small scale water projects, 2) assist Local Authorities to strengthen their capacity in managing water supply, sanitiatiin and solid waste systems, and 3) compile and disseminate environmental updates to Parliamentarians. <p>The CBEND project is coming to an end at the end of September 2010.
