The reception was organized by the Embassy of Finland in honor of the Fund for Local Cooperation (FLC) Coordinators from Eastern and Southern Africa who were visiting Namibia. The purpose of the reception was to celebrate and share the good work of FLC Partners in Namibia in addressing the country’s development challenges. During the reception, the advocacy posters that were developed by the FLC Partners in Namibia together with PACT Namibia were presented.
The DRFN presented their poster from one of their projects funded by the Embassy of Finland in Windhoek called E-CAP which focused on targeted support for rural decision makers to improve their water supply and sanitation management. Through this project four selected rural communities in Hardap and Karas Regions benefited from 35 environmentally appropriate toilets. A solid waste sorting facility was also established in Grundorn South (re-use, recycling) in Hardap Region.
