This individual is required for the Collaboration Project ‘Wetlands Monitoring and Assessment Platform for Transboundary River Basins in Southern Africa (WeMAST) which was granted by the African Union through the Global Monitoring and Environmental Security Programme (GMES). The WeMAST project aims to support wetland assessment and monitoring methods applicable to Southern Africa by developing an integrated platform. This platform can provide wetland information service to SADC wetland authorities for assessment, monitoring by utilizing and integrating existing Earth Observation capabilities and wetland assessment/monitoring tools.
