The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry (MAWF) in partnership with SADC, Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWP SA) and the Desert Research Foundation of Namibia (DRFN) is calling for interested youth groups to register to attend the SADC Youth Forum Meeting tentatively scheduled for 27 May 2015 in Windhoek.
Under the auspices of SADC, MAWF will hold the SADC Water Week from 27-29 May 2015. This national youth forum will bring together youth stakeholders at the national level, to work together in mapping the way forward for youth involvement in the country’s water and sanitation sector.
The National Youth Forum will inform the way forward with regards to youth involvement in the environment, water and sanitation sector at the national and regional levels. The youth contribution will be taken up to SADC level for programming in youth participation in water resources management.
Youth groups should be from primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. These youth groups should have youth programmes that focus on environment, water and sanitation.
