The DRFN is assisting in the development of Environmental Education resource materials about the Orange-Senqu River Basin, targeting 10-12 year old primary school learners in this transboundary basin. The first phase of the project was successfully completed in 2012. A two day workshop was conducted with teachers from six schools in the basin (Omaheke and Karas Regions) in Keetmashoop on the 15th and 16th July 2013. The aim of the workshop was to introduce the River Learning Box to the teachers and build their capacity to enable implementation of the RLB in their respective schools.

During the workshop, the teachers had the opportunity to ask questions and make suggestions of how they can use the materials in the box as part of their lessons.
