The Finnish Embassy has once again allocated funds to the DRFN to implement a project that will focus on:
1. Good practices/lessons learnt communicated (advocated) to high-level decision makers for adoption in the areas of sustainable land management, integrated water resources management (including sanitation) and renewable energy.
2. Factual reporting capacity of journalists in the areas of sustainable land, management, integrated water resources management (including sanitation) and renewable energy enhanced.
3. Contribution of “green jobs” to livelihoods improvement, environmental sustainability and overall sustainability of such projects determined and options for viability recommended.
This project has been funded with 77 500 Euros for a one year period. A signing ceremony between the Finnish Embassy and DRFN took place on the 9th August 2013 at the Residence of the Charge d Affaires a.i. of Finland in Windhoek.
