Namibia is one of the countries that will be particularly vulnerable to the impacts of 1.5 °C and higher levels of global warming because it is already a hot, dry and water-stressed country that is prone to floods, malaria and drought. The 1.5 °C increase will not only lead to distinct climatic conditions but will worsen already existing vulnerabilities hence there is a need for the country to implements ex-tensive, adaptive and transformative responses to the 1.5°C threshold.
It is against this background, the (DRFN) and its project partners, The University of Namibia (UNAM) and Reos Partners are implementing the Uptake of Climate Change Adaptation research results in Africa (CLARE-NAMIBIA) project that aims to create awareness on the 1.5 °C projections made for Namibia.
