The Desert Research Foundation of Namibia Mission Statement

The DRFN empowers decision-makers at all levels through, capacity building, facilitation, knowledge generation and sharing in order to promote sustainable development.

Structure of DRFN

A Board of Trustees formulates the policy of the DRFN
The DRFN itself falls under the management stratagies formulated by the M8, a body with representative directors from the various desks, projects, and other DRFN divisions.
Programme and financial staff support all projects and core activities under the following descriptions:

Community-based programmes
Environmental impact assessments
Research, synthesis and networking
Environmental education and awareness

Within the four main areas of activity a wide variety of staff are employed in various projects. These include post- doctoral researchers, post graduates, graduates, diplomates, field assistants, volunteers and labourers.
