Energy Demonstration Trailer
In mid 2006 the DRFN completed a prototype Energy Demonstration
Trailer to lend a more practical approach towards awareness raising.
This off-road trailer is comprises several solar PV panels, a wind
charger and contains a small freezer, computer, large screen monitor,
sound system, a multitude of lights, demonstration equipment and
camping gear. The trailer has been a stunning success and the project
received a national award at the Energy Globe Awards 2007. Two further
trailers were consequently constructed in mid 2007. The prototype
was financially supported by the UNDP’s Small Grants Programme,
while the two additional trailers were funded by the Danish Development
Agency.
