Working
towards securing a healthy environment for all Namibians |
| Environmental
Evaluation Associates of Namibia (Pty) Ltd (EEAN), is a group of professional
consultants with more than 25 years experience in research and training
in Namibia. This is particularly in the fields of environmental research
and development. Working with a group of Namibian trainees and sub-consultants,
EEAN has extensive contracts and good working relationships with key
persons both within the government of Namibia and other interest groups.
EEAN is committed to the sustainable development of Namibia and in
training Namibians in techniques of environmental evaluation for the
development of the country. |

| EEAN is and has
been involved in a variety of Environmental Assessments in different
localities in Namibia. These include the upgrading of the Ogongo -Oshakati
canal in Owambo, a road in the central Namib Desert, a clay extraction
project in the central Namib Desert, a water-treatment plant in Windhoek,
a hydro-power scheme, a central area water master plan for Namibia,
an assessment of a destocking scheme in Namaland, an environmental
assessment for a sustainable animal and rangeland development project
in Hereroland and Namaland, and the Trans-Caprivi Highway. |
The work
of EEAN associates often leads to the compilation of environmental
awareness booklets such as 'Oshanas - sustaining people, environment
and development in central Owambo, Namibia' and 'Managing waterpoints
and grazing areas in Namibia'. |
